How far back into your childhood can your remember and what is your favorite memory of that time?
He just told you that he loved you, and he led you on. He probably mentioned your future together, and even marriage.
You gave him everything. That is what he was after.
When he approached you, he never thought about love, because he did not love you. He only thought about how he could take from you, until you were left a dried-out husk.
